Holy Crap — ‘Zep’ Is Serious?

Initially I just chalked up the “Zep touring without Plant” talk as rumor. I mean, can you imagine? (I’m searching for an analogy here, but I can’t find one. Maybe it would be like Queen, with Freddie still alive (God bless him) taking a long hiatus and then suddenly touring with another singer. Or maybe the Stones without Jagger?)

But it looks like IT’S FOR REAL! Gibson.com recently published an article about it, which concludes with this:
Bassist (John Paul) Jones confirmed earlier this week that the band has been rehearsing with several potential lead singers, as well as moving forward with plans to record new music and tour. “We want to do it,” Jones said. “It’s sounding great and we want to get on and get out there.”

Holy crap!

Rumored to be up for the gig are none other than Steven Tyler and Chris Robinson…. recall Page toured with Black Crowes about 10 years ago – playing mostly Zep songs… must say it sounded great – Chris R. pulls it off – but it isn’t Zep – they must call it something else – (and might need to legally?)
