Warren DeMartini/Ratt
Here’s Warren DeMartini recording a solo for the Ratt tune “Lost Weekend” at a June ’09 recording session. The tune is off the new album, Infestation. I love the way his fingers fly at the beginning. Cool!
New Maiden
Here’s Iron Maiden’s first tune off the new album, called “The Final Frontier.” Not sure I love the tune yet, but the vid is cool. Fun to see the Predator-ish version of Eddie.

Does anyone sound more woody than Audley Freed? I tripped over this vid the other day – “Audley Freed plays his Original Senn Pomona [Tele-like guitar] with Gene Parsons “B” bender and Lollar ’52 pickups through vintage ’56 Champ amp” – which reminded me of the other one, which I’ve highlighted here before. WOODY!
Notable
Black Country Communion, not just Black Country (the name was taken), is the final name of the band with Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian. Check out these two short vids (can’t embed) on the formation of the band and the tunes – no tunes in there, just interviews with the band members. The funniest part is how lukewarm Jason sounds on the whole thing – or am I hearing it wrong?
